Students love Maize and we love them!
Maize opened on Green Street in Champaign on October 1st, 2011 and began the effort of recreating traditional dishes and flavors from Mexico City, Michoacan and the mountains of a little farm in Guerrero, Mexico.
We’ve loved serving the UIUC student population ever since, and now we get to serve them on campus at the Student Union.
We’re starting with a smaller menu, similar to our Green Street location, along with breakfast items.
We share our food. We share our home.
Our food is made in-house with the freshest ingredients. All corn tortillas are handmade for each order. We also offer gluten-free options so everyone can enjoy the food we loved growing up.
